Cold porcelain recipe!

Cold porcelain recipe!!

Cold porcelain princess

Cold porcelain is the greatest dough ever!

No need to bake it, non toxic, and it´s not real porcelain (similar to sculpey, actually)

This magnificent material is originary from Argentina. It gets really hard, but it dilutes on water and it´s not suitable for making crockery.

It's a great product for modelling with your kids, and you can make your own with this recipe.

INGREDIENTS
7 ounces of elmer´s glue
5 ounces of corn starch
1 Tbsp of vegetal oil (or baby oil)
1 Tbsp of vinegar or lemon
1 Tbsp of white paint (non toxic poster paint)
Hand cream (for kneading purposes)

HOW TO:
Mix all the ingredients on a low heat non-stick saucepan, using a wooden spoon.
Stir all the ingredients for 20 - 25 minutes, taking care that all the ingredients are blended into one homogeneus mixture.

While we stir, we'll notice that the mixture becomes thicker, the dough will be ready when it gets off totally of the edges of the saucepan.

Once is ready, with the dough still warm (as soon as you can) knead it making good pressure and mixing it well.

Now we can place the dough inside a ziploc bag, removing all the air and when it gets room temperature it's ready to go to the fridge!

Wait at least one day before using it...

To dye it you can use acrylic pain, oil pain, poster paint (fluorescent poster paint rocks!!!)
Don´t put to much paint to it or it wil crack.

Good luck!
